Searchroom Community Rules

Effective date: 12 July 2026

These Community Rules apply to private Searchroom project workspaces, messages, notes, property records, files, and other user-submitted material.

Users must be at least 18 years old.

The report categories for the current release are:

  • harassment_threats: threats, harassment, bullying, intimidation, stalking, or encouragement of harm.
  • discrimination_hate: hateful, discriminatory, dehumanizing, or protected-class abusive content.
  • fraud_impersonation: scams, fraud, impersonation, misrepresented authority, or materially deceptive content.
  • privacy_personal_data_misuse: privacy violations, misuse of personal data, unauthorized personal documents, property records, images, communications, or confidential information.
  • spam: spam, bulk unsolicited messages, credential-harvesting material, malware, exploit code, or disruptive automation.
  • illegal_content: illegal activity or illegal content, including sexual exploitation material, child sexual abuse material, content involving minors sexually, or content facilitating human trafficking or sexual services.
  • other_safety_concern: any other safety, abuse, unlawful-content, intellectual-property, or project-integrity concern.

Do not use Searchroom for unlawful discrimination, protected-class targeting or exclusion, harassment, fraud, illegal activity, malware, unauthorized access, credential sharing, abusive scraping, or interference with the service.

Do not upload another person's personal data or personal documents, which may include identity or financial records, unless you have authority and a lawful basis to do so.

Authorized project users may report concerns and block other users where product controls are available. Report detail is bounded to what is needed to assess the issue. Resolved report detail and minimal evidence are deleted or irreversibly anonymized 12 months after resolution unless a documented legal hold or active dispute applies. Blocks last until unblock or applicable account/project deletion. Searchroom does not promise content scanning or a fixed outcome deadline.

Searchroom may remove or limit access to content, features, projects, or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Rules, protect users, address suspected unlawful activity, preserve evidence, or comply with law. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination under the Terms. Searchroom does not promise a particular outcome or response time.

Until a dedicated in-product control is available for a specific situation, contact support@searchroom.app with enough context to identify the relevant account, project, message, file, or record.
