Public account deletion request

This page lets users of Searchroom, published by Shy Alter, request account and associated-data deletion without reinstalling the app or signing in.

Send your request to privacy@searchroom.app. You may also contact support@searchroom.app if you cannot access the privacy mailbox from your email client.

Information to provide

  • The email address you used for Searchroom.
  • Your display name and, if known, the workspace or project names connected to the account.
  • Whether you are an agent, invited client, or other project member.
  • Whether you want account closure, deletion of eligible associated data, export assistance, or another privacy action.

Do not send passwords, OAuth codes, government documents, full payment-card numbers, private keys, or sensitive project files in the first request. If identity verification is needed, Searchroom will ask for the minimum information needed for that request.

Verification and scope

Searchroom verifies identity before closing an account or deleting associated data. Review may compare the requesting email, account identifiers, project membership, and operational records.

Account closure and associated-data review can cover profile data, account identifiers, project memberships, invitations, messages, preferences, listing records, document metadata, uploaded files, support records, and dormant billing status records where deletion is lawful and technically available.

Retention limits

A deletion request does not instantly delete every shared transaction record. Searchroom reviews multi-party project records and documents because they may contain other users' data, agent/client transaction history, legal claims, fraud or security evidence, dormant billing records, or legal-hold material.

Eligible associated data is deleted, anonymized, or offboarded where appropriate. Provider backups and infrastructure copies expire under the provider's backup lifecycle rather than immediate application control.

Payments

The current invitation-only release has no checkout, in-app purchase, subscription, invoice, refund transaction, or automatic paid conversion. Paddle remains dormant and receives no current user data.
