Cookie and Storage Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Overview
Searchroom uses necessary cookies and local storage to keep the app working. At launch, Searchroom does not use product analytics, marketing pixels, advertising cookies, crash reporting, campaign email delivery, or push notification providers.
Storage we use
- Browser localStorage stores web authentication state and language preference.
- Mobile SecureStore stores auth tokens where available; mobile web may use browser storage.
- The authenticated web sidebar uses a `sidebar_state` cookie for UI state.
- The Chrome extension may use local extension storage for auth state, Convex URL, project ids, project names, and import state if the extension is used.
- Provider-hosted OAuth, app-store, and browser-store pages may use their own cookies or storage under their own policies when users interact with those services outside the native administrative page cluster.
Nonessential tracking
Nonessential analytics and advertising storage are not active at launch. If Searchroom adds nonessential analytics or similar tracking later, we will update this policy and implement any required consent or opt-out controls before collection begins.
Paddle and Documenso are dormant for the current release, receive no current user data, and are not active cookie or storage providers.
Your controls
Browser settings can block or clear local storage and cookies, but doing so can sign you out or break authenticated app behavior. Essential storage cannot be disabled while using Searchroom.
